Fr.Stan Swamy passes away

Fr. Stan Swamy: Jesuit priest and tribal rights activist Father Swamy passes away at 84 today. He  was arrested in connection with the Elgar Parishad case and the Bhima Koregaon caste voilence.

He had contracted  with  corona virus earlier this year but he continued to suffer from post corona virus complications.

Stan Swamy had been arrested by the National Investigation Agency  last year. He was charged under various sections of Indian Penal Code ( IPC) and terro-reated offenses under the Unlawful Activities ( Prevention) Act.
