The Hindu rope plant.
The curly-leaved Hindu rope plant, also known as the porcelain flower or wax plant, is Hoya carnosa “Compacta” or “Krinkle Kurl.”
They emerge in clusters the size of balls in the early spring and persist through the summer.
For them to thrive, all they really require is a potting mix that drains well, some warmth, and bright, indirect sunlight.
The ideal way to water a plant is to place it over a sink, soak the soil, let the water drain, and then place the pot back on a saucer after it has dried.
More thought should be given to your plant’s humidity requirements throughout the winter.
Warm, stable temperatures are beneficial to Hindu rope plants. Any temperature below 50 degrees Fahrenheit will cause issues.
The Hoya carnosa comes in more than 400 different varieties.
