According to officials, there have been numerous injuries reported following a gunshot on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing.

The College of Social Science's residence, Berkey Hall, was reportedly the scene of gunfire, according to MSU police, and the IM East Fitness Center also reportedly saw gunfire.

There is only one suspect, according to police. They advised students to take cover after adding that the suspect was on foot.

Shots were reportedly fired at Berkey, Hubbard, East McDonel, and Phillips Halls, according to scanner traffic.

Transporting victims to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. At 10:10 p.m. ET, police reported that "Brody Hall, Snyder/Phillips Hall, Mason Hall, Abbot Hall, Landon Hall, the MSU Union, and Berkey Hall have all been cleared/secured."

For the next 48 hours, all campus activities have been suspended.

MSU police announced on social media that three individuals had died in the mass shooting that occurred at the university on Monday night.

The division reported "Three fatalities have been confirmed. In addition to the five patients who have already been taken to the hospital, this also happened."

The department also stated that "all university activities are cancelled for the next 48 hours, including classes, athletics, and all school-related activities." Please refrain from visiting campus tomorrow.
